TemPolor takes its name from tempo and color. Rhythm gives music its movement; color offers another way to follow it.
For founder Jason Jia, difficult early music lessons raised a lasting question: how could getting started feel more inviting? The team began with a color-based music app, then explored AI music creation and, eventually, a physical instrument.
That idea shapes Melo-D. Choose a chord, follow the lights, try a melody. Leave room for a quiet practice session, a song with friends, or an idea you want to hear out loud.

What is TemPolor?
TemPolor is the music technology brand behind Melo-D, a generative AI guitar. Its name brings together tempo and color, reflecting an approach that connects music, visual guidance and hands-on playing.
What is Melo-D?
Melo-D is a foldable electronic guitar with chord keys, a touchscreen, a single-note module and a built-in speaker. It offers guided playing and AI music features, with 7-key and 21-key chord layouts.
How are TemPolor and Tunee connected?
Melo-D comes from the team behind Tunee, an AI music creation product. Tunee and the Melo-D Guitar companion app are separate products. Visit the app page for the tools used to create and sync playable parts to Melo-D.
Does Melo-D work without a phone?
Compatible content can be played on the guitar after syncing. App-based creation and syncing require the Melo-D Guitar app and internet. AI Jam generation also requires internet on Melo-D.
