Is it a real instrument?
Yes, a new kind. You play real chords and rhythms on chord pads instead of frets, with six sounds and built-in speakers. Traditional fretting is a separate skill.

Melo-D is recommended for ages 14 and up. An adult should help set up the Melo-D Guitar app.

It builds rhythm, timing and an ear for chord changes. Fretting is a separate skill, so if a traditional guitar is your goal, practice that on its own too.

Around 5 hours using the built-in speakers, depending on volume and use. It charges with the included USB-C cable.

Melo-D has a 3.5 mm TRS line output. Contact support to check compatibility with your wired headphones. Bluetooth audio is receive-only; it does not send sound to Bluetooth headphones.

It folds to 18.4 in (468.5 mm) and weighs 4.8 lb. The gig bag and strap are in the box.

The Melo-D Guitar app and internet are needed for app-based AI generation and content sync. AI Jam generation also needs a network connection. Once compatible content is synced, guided play continues on Melo-D without keeping your phone open.²
